Effective date: 8 November 2026
The short version
- No account and no sign-in.
- We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or any other personal data.
- We count anonymous app usage so we can make FidgetRig better. It is never linked to you.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, and no ads.
- We never sell your data, and we share nothing beyond the anonymous counts described below, which go only to TelemetryDeck as our analytics provider.
Anonymous usage analytics
FidgetRig uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count how the app is used. It records events such as:
- the app being opened;
- which rig was opened (The Rig, Dub Desk or Beat Match) and when Reset was tapped;
- the Dub Desk unlock screen being shown, and an unlock being bought or restored.
- a session starting, and how long sessions last.
Each event also carries general technical details: the app version and build, the iOS version, the device model, screen size and orientation, the time zone, light or dark mode, your accessibility settings such as larger text and reduce motion, and your language and region settings. TelemetryDeck never receives a device identifier. The app turns your device's vendor identifier into a one-way hash on the phone before anything is sent, and the same hash is reused so repeat visits can be counted without us knowing who you are. We cannot work out who you are from it, and we have no way to match it to a name, an email address or an Apple ID.
Why: to see which rigs people use and whether the app works well, so we know what to improve.
This data is not linked to your identity, is not used for tracking and is not used for advertising. You can read more in TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
TelemetryDeck stores these counts on servers in the European Union and we keep them for as long as the app is supported. Because nothing in them identifies you, there is no record of yours for us to find or delete.
Purchases
The Dub Desk unlock is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and your payment details; we never see them. The app only checks with Apple whether the unlock is active on your Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy covers the payment.
What stays on your phone
Anything you do in the rigs, such as the loops and tempos you play, stays on your iPhone. It is not sent to us.
Children
FidgetRig does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
We hold no name, email address or account for you, so there is nothing of yours for us to look up, export or delete. You still have the right to ask us what we hold, and we will answer. If you have a question or a concern, email us and we will answer it. If you are in the UK, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
This website
This site counts page views and link taps with TelemetryDeck, tied to a random identifier that lives only in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. We record the page you are on and the site you came from. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites.
